Write with Pride (2024 BlackLift Music & Poetry Festival)

Join Southern Word and Taria Person for a Write with Pride workshop as part of the 2024 BlackLift Poetry Festival where teens will learn the art of blackout poetry.

As always, our goal is to build a safe space, community, connection, and new possibilities through writing and sharing for LGBT+ youth.

In addition to being a regional Spoken Word and Hip-Hop Slam Champion, Taria is an actress, poetry book author, and visual artist. They are a graduate of Maplewood High School and the University of Tennessee – Knoxville.
