A Celebration of Writing with Alita Brielle Gay & NSA

Alita Brielle Gay is a spoken word poet, educator, and voiceover artist with a passion for cultural community development. She holds a B.S. in Communications from Florida State University as well as a Master’s in Public Administration from American University. She is a Teach for America alumni and since her departure from the classroom, she’s sought to create meaningful learning experiences for learners of all ages. With over 10 years of administrative experience, Alita has worked in field of youth development working alongside organizations such as NAZA and the YMCA of Middle TN. Whether facilitating or performing, her pension for storytelling is evident. She is one half of the duo Tamarind Jam which has been featured at The Arts Company, Women’s Work (Tennessee Women’s Theater Project), Sideshow Fringe Festival and the Actors Bridge Ensemble Theater of Nashville. She currently resides in Nashville, TN with her husband and two sons.
