This slam will take place online. Youth performers will receive a performers-only Zoom video conference link. On the day of the event, login in to Zoom by 4:30pm. Then we will let you know the order of your performance. The competition will start at 5pm and be live-streamed to a private Southern Word YouTube Live channel where audience members can watch, like, and comment. Audience member comments will be moderated by Southern Word.

This slam competition is for teens 14 to 19 from any TN county who have not yet competed in the Davidson County or Memphis/Shelby County slams. Top performers, as determined by a set of judges, will move on to the state finals for a chance to compete nationally. please email gabriela@southernword.org with any questions
