Creators: Music, Poetry, Song & Story
Over the past 15 years, Southern Word has developed some of Nashville’s leading young writers and music producers through its programs. During the summer, we create paid opportunities for young people to create and distribute art that positively impacts Nashville. We are presently conducting interviews with writers and musicians who might be interested in this employment opportunity over the course of 7 weeks from June 2 through July 18.
ELIGIBILITY
- Youth who will be ages 14 or 15 years old this summer and who live in Davidson County. or
- Graduating seniors from Stratford, Maplewood, Cane Ridge, Pearl-Cohn, Antioch, Overton, or Glencliff High Schools.
LOCATIONS
- 14 and 15 year old youth participants will be located at Stratford STEM Magnet or at 623 41st Avenue West.
- GEAR-UP Graduating Seniors will be located at the Nashville Public Library (615 Church St, Nashville).
